Role Overview
We’re seeking a Compliance Officer to join a growing hospitality venue in South West Sydney. This is a hands on, people focused role where you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with an experienced and supportive hiring manager.Will suit someone who can adapt quickly, think critically, and bring a human touch to compliance.
As the Compliance Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the organisation meets its compliance obligations while contributing to a positive and collaborative workplace culture. This is a broad role with plenty of variety, and as the compliance function continues to grow, so will your responsibilities.
Your Responsibilities
- Transaction Monitoring and identifying potential red flags.
- AML Reporting and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- KYC/ECDD processes, analysing data to create actionable insights.
- Reviewing reports, identifying patterns, and understanding human behaviour to make informed decisions.
- Walking the floor, interacting with staff, and building rapport to ensure compliance is embedded across the organisation.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communicator. Approachable, open, adaptable and curious, with a willingness to learn and grow in the role
- Comfortable working in a customer facing environment, interacting with staff and members daily
- Has a keen eye for detail and can analyse data beyond the numbers to see the bigger picture.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is open to new ways of working.
- While experience in compliance, transaction monitoring, or KYC is a plus, if you don’t have all areas also open to training the right person who demonstrates the right attitude, drive, and willingness to learn.
- Experience from the gaming or hospitality industry, or at the least an appreciation of the financial crime regulatory requirements of the sector.
