We are seeking an experienced individual to join the Parks and Recreation team as the Bookings Officer to deliver high quality customer service, bookings management and administrative services.

  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • Remuneration of $2,693.28 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,231.94 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

Your new role

Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Coordination and administration of the Councils Bookings of Sportsgrounds, Sportsgrounds Lighting, Parks, Halls, Community Centres and Banners.
  • Undertake administrative duties relevant to the role such as monthly invoicing for hire and Sportsground lights fees, refunding of bonds and cancelled booking fees, following up overdue debtor accounts, reporting maintenance at Halls, Community Centres and Sportsgrounds and programming of Sportsground lights for Sports Clubs.
  • Provide booking and event information to Customers.
  • Providing quality customer service and effective administrative support for the functional areas of the Parks & Strategic Operations Division.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, courteous and helpful customer service consistently to internal and external customers.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and promotional materials.

What you will need to succeed

The successful applicant will:

  • Have administrative and customer service experience relevant to the role;
  • Have qualifications in Business Administration or equivalent experience;
  • Have strong customer service, administration, communication, time management and planning skills; and
  • Previous experience with bookings is highly desirable.
