About the Role
We are partnering with a Queensland Government State Department to recruit a HR Business Analyst for an initial 8-month contract to lead a high-impact priority project. This initiative isn’t just about recruitment, it’s about transforming how the department attracts, selects, and onboards talent.
In this role, you will streamline and modernise recruitment processes, enhance decision-making, and implement automation and workflow solutions. You will translate stakeholder insights into practical, innovative process improvements, shaping a recruitment framework that is efficient, compliant, and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, documentation, and optimisation of business requirements and workflows to modernise recruitment processes;
- Collaborate with employment delegates, panel chairs, HR teams, and business support staff to turn insights into practical, actionable improvements;
- Identify opportunities for automation and workflow integration using tools like Springboard or PowerApps to streamline approvals, candidate communications, and documentation; and
- Ensure all improvements align with departmental goals, whole-of-government compliance standards, and broader workforce strategy initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, passionate about turning ideas into practical solutions. You will bring:
- Proven business analysis experience, ideally within HR and/or the public sector;
- Expertise in designing HR processes, implementing automation, and leveraging HR technology platforms;
- Strong knowledge of recruitment and selection practices, candidate experience, and compliance requirements;
- Experience in government environments is highly valued; and
