About the role
Join as a full-time Business Analyst on a maximum-term contract of 10 months at our Newstead location.
You will play a vital role in contributing to project deliverables under the guidance of the Project Manager. Your focus includes designing and implementing project plans, understanding workflows, mapping processes, assessing risks, and supporting testing and documentation.
Cultivating relationships, facilitating workshops, and aligning with Mater's standards and objectives are key aspects of the role. If you have IT, Health, or Business background with relevant certifications, we encourage you to apply and join our dynamic team at Mater!
Salary range: $62.74 - $67.20 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Business Analyst at Mater, your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to project deliverables by understanding current workflows, mapping business processes, and designing solutions to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Assisting with testing, designing training approaches, and supporting deployment efforts.
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders throughout the Mater Group.
- Eliciting requirements from business subject matter experts and prioritising them effectively.
- Facilitating workshops and documenting outcomes and actions.
- Monitoring project risks and issues, and contributing to system testing and test scripting.
- Collaborating with vendors to address issues and track resolutions.
- Preparing deployment and handover materials and assessing the impact of project change requests.
- Ensuring all project activities align with the standards and frameworks of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
About you
Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual ready to excel in the role of Business Analyst at Mater, we are looking for someone with:
- University and/or equivalent professional qualification – particularly within IT, Health or Business.
- Relevant qualifications such as BABOK Certification and ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Experience in contributing to project deliverables and aligning with stakeholder requirements.
- Strong communication skills to cultivate relationships and facilitate workshops effectively.
- Ability to analyse and assess risks, impacts, and project changes.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software tools for business analysis.
- Adherence to Mater's behavioural standards and core capabilities to drive strategic success in major projects.
