ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our client on a contract assignment. This position will be based in our client’s engineering office in Brisbane.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and review design calculations, reports, models, documentation, and other engineering deliverables

Review and approve critical design documents, calculations, specifications, supplier data, drawings, material selections, and change orders

Plan, develop, and lead day-to-day electrical engineering activities for various projects

Provide technical input to support procurement requirements and vendor selection.

Prepare work plans aligned with project scope, schedule, and budget, and manage delivery against these targets

Liaise with client representatives (when required) to secure approvals on electrical engineering deliverables

Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of assigned personnel, including estimating staffing requirements, scheduling, and allocating tasks

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and RPEQ

Experience in Mining, Oil and Das, heavy industry or similar

Proven experience across design, construction, commissioning, or plant operations within large-scale industrial facilities, utilities, or process plants

In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards applicable to Electrical Engineering

Demonstrated capability in developing scopes of work and managing project packages

Willingness and ability to travel regularly to site
