Food Technology Teacher
Full-time and ongoing / Iona College Geelong | Commencing Term 1, 2026

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join our secondary teaching team. The successful applicant will bring creativity and energy to the classroom, inspiring students to develop practical food skills, nutritional knowledge, and an appreciation for healthy living.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver and assess engaging Food Technology lessons across a range of year levels.

Create safe and inclusive learning environments in the kitchen and classroom.

Develop and maintain innovative curriculum programs aligned with school and curriculum standards.

Encourage student creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking in practical and theory lessons.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene requirements in food preparation areas.

Contribute to the wider school community through co-curricular activities and events.

About You:

Hold a tertiary teaching qualification

Current VIT registration (or eligibility for registration).

Strong knowledge of curriculum requirements and contemporary teaching practices in Food Studies/Technology.

Commitment to student wellbeing, safety, and engagement.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
