Position Vacant – Qualified Carpenter

Due to a growing workload, we are on the lookout for a qualified carpenter to join our team in a full-time, wages-based role, with immediate start available. We deliver new home builds in Port Stephens and Thornton.

As a family owned and operated business, our business focuses more on custom homes than high turnover. You can expect above award wages, which will be negotiated based on experience and suitability. A review of wages will be available after 6 months and negotiated based on proven capability.

We’re after someone who:

Is capable on site, we need someone versed in all aspects of carpentry from standing timber frames and trusses to kitchen installations and fix outs. Experience within these areas is required.

Is honest, reliable and able to deliver work with a focus on both workmanship and efficiency.

Is looking for a workplace which will offer them a long-term home where respect goes both ways.

Has a positive attitude and can manage the workflow of a site where you will have the help of an apprentice, as well as guidance and support from our builder and site supervisor.

Can travel to and from work independently with your own tools.

Allowances include – Tools, Industry allowance, Leading Hand Allowance and Fares and Travel.

Typical site hours are 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am – 1:00pm Fridays (if you leave before lunchbreak) to round out a 38-hour week.
