Smoke Control Systems Pty Ltd is one of the leading manufacturing firms in Australia, we are an established Australian based ‘Passive Fire Protection’ company that designs, engineers, manufactures and installs specialty fire & smoke curtains, glazed fire & smoke doors and windows. We have been at the forefront in the execution of a wide array of fire protection projects for builders, governments, and large corporations.

Based in Sydney and servicing all of Australia & New Zealand, we currently have an opening for a Purchasing Manager to support our Production Team.

Responsibilities:

Place and follow up on Purchase orders according to work schedule, orders and inventory levels

Manage all freight and ensure on time delivery

Manage and maintain stock levels within our factory

Conduct stocktake and record data

Analyse purchasing data to identify trends and savings

Forecast demand levels for materials with production team (system driven)

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers

Ensuring all products meet fire safety and compliance Standards

Must Have:

Proven experience with minimum 3 to 5 years’ in a similar role

Tertiary Qualification such as Business Administration or Certificate IV in Business Procurement

Experience with NetSuite, SAP or similar ERP system

Experience in the Construction Industry is preferable but not required

Ability to work within a team and independently

Professional and mature

Excellent communication skills

Strong organisational and time management skills
