🔧 Steel Fabrication Welders Wanted – Rocklea – Day Shift 🔧

$52.50/hr Casual | Long-Term Opportunity | Weld Test Required

We’re currently recruiting for a leading steel fabrication and manufacturing facility based in Rocklea. This is a great opportunity for trade-qualified Welders or sheet metal fabricators to join a high-performing team.

We want to speak with experienced Sheet Metal Fabricators and Boilermakers who are confident in TIG welding and ready to hit the ground running.

🔩 About the Role:

• Day shift hours, Monday to Friday
• Immediate start for the right candidate
• On-site TIG welding test required before commencement (approx. 2 hours)
• Casual rate: $52.50/hr
• Must be ready to weld – bring your own helmet, gloves, safety boots, long pants and long-sleeve hi-vis shirt

🧰 What You Need:

• Trade qualification in fabrication or boiler making
• Experience welding:
• Stainless steel TIG (2mm thick)
• Fillet welds, pipe welds, and corner-to-corner welds
• Ability to work with Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, and Q&T steel
• Must be able to pass a drug & alcohol test
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident only

✅ Preferred Experience With:

• TIG welding with 2.4mm tungsten & 1.6mm rods
• Working with materials from 2mm to 20mm thickness
• Welding aluminium (5000 & 6000 series), mild, stainless & Q&T steels
• Boilermakers with TIG welding ability highly regarded

🛠️ Weld Test Overview:

• 4 TIG tests on stainless steel (2mm thickness):
• Fillet welds – multi-sided
• Pipe weld on plate
• Corner welds
• All tests conducted on-site (latest test starts at 1:30 PM)
