About the role

Gorski Engineering is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our team in Stapylton, Queensland. As a full-time Welder Fabricator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality welding and fabrication services to support our engineering projects. This role is a crucial part of our operations, ensuring the successful completion of client work to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

Perform welding of various metals, including steel, aluminium, and stainless steel, using a range of welding techniques

Fabricate and assemble metal components, structures, and equipment as per engineering specifications

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to understand project requirements

Operate a variety of welding equipment, tools, and machinery with precision and care

Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the company's quality standards

Collaborate with the engineering team to find solutions to fabrication challenges

Maintain a clean and organised work area, and perform routine maintenance on equipment

What we're looking for

A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Welder Fabricator, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment

Proven expertise in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding

Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, tools, and equipment

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment to workplace health and safety

Relevant trade qualification or certification in welding or fabrication
