We have an exciting opportunity that has opened for a true hospitality professional to lead our small and friendly restaurant team as a Restaurant Manager.

About the Resort

Bedarra Island Resort is an award-winning, all-inclusive barefoot luxury island resort located in tropical North Queensland, 2 hours drive south of Cairns and just off the coast from Mission Beach, on the Great Barrier Reef.

With only twelve guest villas we cater to a maximum of 24 guests at any time, offering a private and personalised island experience like no other.

What to Expect

Our beautiful open-air restaurant is the perfect place to curate an incredible dining experience for our guests.

This is a role that will see you working with our amazing chefs to help guide the Restaurant Team through the ever-changing menu before service, with tastings and suggestions to help you make our guests experience one to remember. Menus are designed daily around the best seasonal produce that Far North Queensland has to offer, with matching wines to be paired for each course.

Get involved in our nightly cocktail hours – where you get to interact and enjoy the company of our guests whilst delighting them with your creation of the day! Maybe wine is more your thing – with our extensive range you will be able to match our incredible dishes with the perfect pairing.

As we are an all-inclusive resort there is no need for you to worry about charges, dockets or money handling – which gives you more time to concentrate on those more important aspects of providing the perfect level of service.

Are you right for the role?

Senior Management experience in fine dining and or high-end restaurant or resorts is essential.

Strong knowledge of local and imported wines and cocktails.

Experience in managing, training, and motivating a team.

Ability to work autonomously.

Budgeting, cost controlling and rostering is essential.

Developing relationships with key suppliers, stock control and ordering.

Displaying a natural and relaxed style of service whilst being attentive to our guest needs

Offering a vibrant, positive and outgoing attitude towards our guests and your fellow team members
