The Venue

The Ophir Hotel is a relaxed, family-friendly pub, bar and restaurant in Orange, New South Wales. The fantastic service and recently renovated venue helps create a unique and welcoming atmosphere for its locals.

The Role

As the Duty Manager, you will work closely with the venue's Licensee and will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations to deliver a friendly customer experience to a mixture of locals and patrons at this unique hotel.

The role will be responsible for managing all aspects of the shift operations, including the bar, dining, events and gaming. We are looking for an experienced hospitality professional who is committed to taking ownership of the team and venue with a focus on connecting with the community.

Who You Are

You will be an experienced leader who is passionate about operating in a fast-paced environment with a great team.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role in hotels/pubs.

Proven experience in driving a high-performing culture, with a focus on providing exceptional service.

Be passionate about leading and developing a team.

Be a strong, commercially minded hospitality leader.

What We Offer

The successful candidate will be offered a package to ensure they are looked after now and into the future. This includes:

Salary of $75,000 - 80,000 per annum.

The option for short-term accommodation to get settled in the area.

This full-time position is based in Orange.
