Therapy Assistant (Subcontractor)

We are currently looking for two Therapy Assistants (subcontractor roles) to join our well-established Therapy Assistant program.

Structured, detailed therapy plans provided – you’ll always have clear direction and resources.

Work that makes an impact – directly supporting children in hubs, homes, schools, kindergartens, and childcare.

The Roles

Role 1: Individual Clients + Group Programs

1:1 client sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays (full days)

Assist lead therapists with group programs:

Wed 4–5pm – Macleod Hub (School Readiness/Social Group)

Thur 11am–1pm – Ivanhoe Hub (School Readiness/Social Group)

Fri 11am–1pm – Ivanhoe Hub (School Readiness/Social Group)

Thurs/Fri 1:1 sessions in the community (home/school/kinder/childcare).

Role 2: Speech Pathology Support

Run weekly therapy sessions for speech pathology clients on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (Friday half day only)

Sessions take place at the Ivanhoe Hub and at local schools/childcares.

Clients already have established therapy plans and detailed goals to guide you.

Availability

We understand that many of our Therapy Assistants are university students and may have placements at different times of the year. However, for these current roles, we require availability that specifically matches the above session times from September through to December 19th (when our practice closes for Christmas).

As clients are already booked into these sessions, please only apply if you are available during this period without university placements or other commitments that clash with these times.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

Passionate about supporting children and families.

Energetic, personable, and engaging.

Reliable and responsible, with excellent communication skills.

Comfortable working independently with children aged 2–12 and previous experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other disabilities.

Able to build strong rapport with children and parents.

Able to follow therapy plans with creativity and care.

Experienced in working with children with additional needs (bonus if studying Speech Pathology, OT, Education, Psychology, or similar).

Holds a valid ABN and has access to a car for community sessions.
