Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge appropriate to the position with emphasis on sound ability in techniques relevant to clinical microbiology.
- Ability to follow instructions, and work conscientiously and accurately with minimum local supervision, with the ability to work alone.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to work alone and co-operatively in a team environment.
- A demonstrated commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement, and an understanding of the basis of laboratory Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs.
- Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
- Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Medical Laboratory Science or a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in microbiology or an equivalent qualification.
- Please detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.
