Our client is a highly reputable building and construction contractor based in Western Australia. With a focus on creativity and human-centric design, they specialise in delivering Luxury Residential homes up to $12m in Perth that are high level contemporary designs built with the utmost attention to detail and in true partnership with their clients.
Their approach revolves around balancing intricate details with the broader vision. Our client brings exceptional spaces and structures to fruition, leveraging their combined skills and extensive experience.
Due to growth in the business and enabling the Director to take on more projects we are looking to engage a Contract Administrator to be responsible for the following;
- Management and contract administration of the Head Contract.
- Management and contract administration of Subcontracts.
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating subcontracts.
- Review and assist with the negotiation, execution, and administration, of variations and claims to both clients and subcontractors.
- Assist with claims assessment including the evaluation, reporting and payment of subcontractor invoices.
- Correspondence and contractual notices.
- Identify and maximise cost saving opportunities.
- Identify and maximise schedule saving opportunities.
- Document control on projects
- Evaluation of progress and reporting for all project activities
- Identifying and raising potential risk
- Providing advice to relevant stakeholders
- Interpreting contractual documentation
- Manage and build strong internal and external relationships.
- Work alongside the Director and Site team to ensure key tasks are performed throughout the project life cycle.
Requirements:
- Construction Mnagement and Economics degree or Quantity surveying tertiary qualification is a requirement for the role.
- Minimum two to four years in a Contract Administration role, preferably within the Commercial building or top end residential market. This experience must be in Australia.
- Excellent attention to detail, confidence and great interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work closely with the Director and a small team.
- Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft projects would be preferable.
