About the role

Greyhounds Entertainment is seeking an experienced and qualified Chef/Cook to join our team in Springvale, VIC. This is a casual role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment catering to a diverse range of customers.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and cook a wide variety of high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service

Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards

Assist with menu planning and development, contributing ideas to keep our offerings fresh and appealing

Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for our patrons

Support the overall operations of the kitchen as required

Availability to work a varied roster over 7 days lunch and dinner

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in commercial cooking or a related culinary field

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef or Cook in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality setting

Demonstrated expertise in preparing a wide range of cuisines and dish types

Strong time management and multitasking abilities to excel in a busy kitchen environment

Passion for using fresh, quality ingredients to create delicious, visually appealing meals

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen brigade

Commitment to upholding high food safety and hygiene standards
