Technical Performance Engineer (Linux/Database support)

• 12 Month Day-Rate Contract role - high likelihood of extension / a conversion to a permanent employee down the line
• Hybrid work arrangement - 2 days per week in Sydney CBD office, 3 days WFH

What you'll bring?

• Strong experience in a Linux environment
• Strong experience being able to troubleshoot / query databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL (both are used predominantly by this company)
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• 2 - 7 years experience in similar roles where you've worked across Linux support / Database support / application support

Nice to Have

• Any scripting experience with JavaScript / Python / Java / Perl. You don't need to be able to write code, however you do need to be able to understand / read code in order to identify any potential issues

What you'll be doing?

• Working as part of the Technical Performance Team in Sydney to troubleshoot customer queries / issues
• Responding to tickets from customers / escalations that arise internally
• Working on a rostered work-week, mostly 7:30am - 3:30pm OR 8am - 4pm
• Engaging in training sessions with senior team members, particularly during the first 8-12 weeks in the role
