- Full Time, Permanent Role
About the role
The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is launching a brand new, purpose-built Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (MHRU) at Noarlunga Hospital (NH). This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new service and team, helping to shape the future of mental health care in the community. MHRU is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide a supportive and recovery-oriented environment for consumers with high and complex needs. This role also provides an exciting opportunity to coordinate the management of clozapine across all SALHN sites, forming an integral part of the Pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams. This coincides with a brand new NH Pharmacy dispensary and broader workforce expansion to support the NH Uplift.
In this hands-on and rewarding role, you will work under the guidance of the AHA or AHP Leader to deliver a high standard of pharmacy services across designated pharmacy units. Your work will span clinical support, dispensing, distribution, and pharmaceutical packaging, alongside inventory management and the preparation or manufacturing of medicines. You will also play a key part in organising daily workloads, monitoring quality standards, and providing technical training to staff, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the department.
Collaboration is at the heart of this position. You will work closely with supervisors, the multidisciplinary team, and the Pharmacy Manager(s) to support the safe, effective, and cost-conscious delivery of drug therapy. By contributing to the optimisation of patient care and outcomes, your role will have a meaningful impact on both individual patient journeys and the broader healthcare service. This is an opportunity to bring your technical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality into a dynamic and supportive team environment.
About You
You are a skilled and motivated pharmacy professional with a strong technical foundation and a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-focused services. With proven expertise across multiple areas of pharmacy practice, you bring a balance of leadership, teamwork, and hands-on technical ability to every aspect of your work.
Hold a relevant Certificate IV or higher qualification, with demonstrated competence in at least two pharmacy practice areas and strong technical, arithmetic, and communication skills.
Bring extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including supervising, teaching, coaching, and training staff, with proficiency in pharmacy management software, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Word.
Possess sound organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dispensing and production methods, regulatory frameworks, and ethical practice, with a commitment to continual learning and safe work practices.
