Summary

CGC Recruitment are working in collaboration with an expanding commercial & industrial building contractor who are growing their business - with the addition of an Estimator / CA - to play a key role within the business.

A hybrid role - where you will be involved in front end / estimating on new projects - typically in the $3-20m range however once awarded, you'll then also move across into delivery, managing the commercials on projects supporting an experienced Project Manager.

Own the end-to-end commercial lifecycle across tenders and live projects. You’ll prepare accurate cost plans and competitive bids, then transition into post-contract delivery to procure trades, administer contracts, protect margin, and maintain cashflow.

Key responsibilities

Estimating (Pre-Contract)

• Prepare cost plans, BOQs, and trade packages from drawings and designs.
• Manage the tender process including RFIs, clarifications, and addenda.
• Source, compare, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Prepare tender submissions, preliminaries, and risk allowances.
• Provide a clear handover to the project delivery team.

Contract Administration (Post-Contract)

• Award and manage subcontracts, contracts, insurances, and warranties.
• Manage claims, variations, and payments while tracking project costs.
• Maintain registers for variations, RFIs, drawings, and procurement.
• Lead trade meetings and ensure accurate commercial documentation.
• Support compliance, project close-out, and final accounts.

Salary will align with experience, ranging from $120-135k + Super in a permanent position.
