The Job:

We are looking for a Food Services Assistant/Cook to add flavour to our catering team. You will be responsible for supporting the kitchen in the preparation, plating, and delivery of meals and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in line with food safety and aged care standards.

This role is a Permanent, Part Time role, 11:00 to 19:00, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.

$30-35/hr and immediate start available.

What you will be doing:

Assisting in meal preparation, including cooking, plating, and ensuring adherence to dietary requirements and portion control

Familiar with diet types, textures, fluid consistencies and reading resident food care plans

Handling food safely, and assisting with inventory management and stock rotation

Deliver, serve and collect all resident food requirements and meal trays

Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, including general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils (dish and pot washing as required)

Assist in maintaining the dining and adjacent rooms in a clean and hazard free condition

Collaborating with dietary staff and ensuring timely meal delivery

Provide high standard of customer service

Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures

Am I the right person? You will need to have:

Basic Food Handling Training

Certificate III in Hospitality

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements

Excellent time management skills

Strong communication and customer skills

Work well independently and within a team

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment
