We have an exciting opportunity for an Medical Receptionist to join our team. We are an extremely busy privately owned GP practice located in Mount Pleasant

The Position is a Casual Position, You must be available for shifts from Monday to Friday between 7.30am to 8.00 pm, and Weekends 8.00am to 6.00 pm, there will be no set shifts or days a roster will be generated 14 days in Advance. There is the opportunity the position will become Permeant for the right candidate.

About the role
Our Receptionists provide a high standard of customer service and administration to patients and Doctors. Supporting the successful running of the centre the role includes:

Greeting patients.

Handling a variety of patients phone call enquiries.

Handling a busy switch board.

Booking appointments and entering patient data.

Generating invoices and receiving payments.

Processing Medicare Claims.

Handling of incoming mail and preparation of mail to send.

Maintaining doctors bookings

Taking all doctors requests in a timely manner.

Other adhoc administration as required

What we’re looking for:

Previous medical reception experience is essential.

Experience with Best Practice and Tyro is an advantage but not essential.

An understanding of Medicare Item Numbers is essential.

The candidate must be reliable, punctual and possess a good work ethic, with the ability to multi task and work independently.

Excellent communication skills along with a courteous phone manner.

The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentially.
