About the role

Murchison Mining Servies are currently on the lookout for a WHS Trainer (Underground) with a strong commitment to upholding safety standards. This role will be offered on a permanent 8:6 (Days) roster based in WA FIFO out of Perth.

This full-time role is an integral part of our Ancillary Mining Services Contracts, where you will be responsible for the Training and Assessing of the Projects, Paste and CHF Crews along with various underground machinery.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Training Manager, the Trainer Assessor will play an integral part in the Sustainability team improving on training and assessments for our underground operations.

You will be expected to liaise closely with the company's management team in particular the HSEQ teams to deliver safe and effective outcomes for our project and service crews

Responsibilities include:

Daily liaison with underground personnel, conducting training and competency assessments.

Actively participating in the integrity of training records, matrixes and needs analysis.

Report on activities and finalise records within set timelines.

Liaise with the Senior Training Advisor for external service provider training needs.

Assist with maintaining the training budgets and ensure procedures comply with government regulations

What we're looking for

An Experienced Trainer And Assessor with relevant experience in the underground mining industry

Deep understanding and knowledge of WA Mining rules and regulations

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Training

Current driver's license and ability to work in a team environment

Formal qualification and or extensive experience with underground operations

TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Western Australian Drivers Licence - Open Class

Permit to Work, Working at Heights
