About the role

Reporting into a Principal Engineer, you'll focus on the end-to-end delivery of overhead line design for contestable works. This is a technically hands-on position where you'll develop, check and finalise designs in line with distribution standards. You'll also support the team in distribution and underground design tasks where required, providing technical solutions that keep projects moving forward.

Duties

Deliver detailed overhead line designs for contestable works at 66kV and 132kV

Produce design drawings, models and calculations aligned with network standards

Support distribution design tasks and underground cable works as needed

Collaborate with project teams, contractors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical queries

Skills & experience

Degree in Electrical Engineering

5-10 years' experience in transmission or distribution design

Strong familiarity with NSW distribution design standards and processes

Experienced in overhead line design at 66kV and ideally 132kV

Proficiency with:

PLS-CADD for line and structure modelling

PLS-Tower for structure analysis

Neura for distribution design tasks

SIMCADD for contestable works support

Early-stage leadership skills with the ability to mentor juniors and step into greater responsibility
