About the Role
Wheatbelt NRM is seeking a skilled and passionate Healthy Environments Program Manager to lead the coordination and delivery of environmental projects across the Avon River Basin, aligned with the strategic direction and mission of our organisation.
You will support a dedicated team to protect and enhance unique bushland assets on private land across the WA Wheatbelt, one of the most significant areas within the southwest biodiversity hotspot, with a focus on threatened ecological communities and critical habitat for threatened species.
This is a rare opportunity to lead meaningful on-ground action and collaborate with landholders, community groups, and stakeholders to improve landscape-scale conservation outcomes on private land.

Selection Criteria
Please address the following criteria in a cover letter:
Technical
Demonstrated expertise in environmental management, biodiversity conservation or ecology
Experience delivering sound project management principles.
Time Management
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities across a project portfolio while meeting deadlines, budgets and stakeholder expectations.
Proven ability to plan ahead, adapt to changing timelines, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Leadership and Management
Demonstrated ability to lead, support and develop high-performing teams.
Experience providing strategic direction, aligning work with organisational goals, and managing risks and opportunities.
Communication
Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to represent an organisation in stakeholder engagements, community events, and public speaking forums.
Teamwork
Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with staff, stakeholders, consultants and community members.
Experience working respectfully and collaboratively with diverse groups.
Desirable Skills
Understanding of the Australian Government National Landcare Program outcomes and targets including threatened species listings under State and Commonwealth Acts.
Experience in grant writing and developing investment concepts for funding.
