Story Fresh is a 4th generation seed-to-store farming company supplying much of the east coast of Australia with their favourite salads. We grow and process leafy vegetables with our own nursery, farms and state of the art processing facility. THE POSITION

We are looking for a mechanical fitter to fill a vacancy in our processing maintenance team at Cambooya, Queensland. This is a permanent, full- time position. The team is responsible for all maintenance on our sophisticated processing lines and the facility that they operate in. This involves preventative maintenance, breakdowns, continuous improvement of all processes and new installs. This position requires the ability to ensure the processing machinery is maintained and repaired to enable the factory to run effectively and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Routine maintenance on a very wide range of process machinery and plant

· Rapid response and problem solving for breakdowns

· Working with the production teams to optimise facility performance

· Support for continuous improvement, modifications and installs

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· Trade qualified – AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training or AQF Certificate IV or equivalent relevant experience

· Minimum of two (2) years’ experience required in mechanical maintenance role

· Strong diagnostic skills and mechanical aptitude

· Multi-disciplined – experience in pneumatics, refrigeration, restricted electrical, TIG welding etc is highly regarded

· Team player, motivated, can-do attitude with attention to detail

· Familiar with working in food production environments – HACCP etc

· Familiar with software programs focused on maintenance

WE OFFER

· Attractive salary in the range of $76,515 to $83,000 per annum plus superannuation (renumeration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates and will be discussed with the successful applicant)
