We’re looking for dedicated Pathology Service Assistants to join our Bowen Hills Specimen Reception Area (SRA) Preanalytical Team. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you’ll be the crucial link between specimen collection and laboratory testing ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service. Key Responsibilities

Unpack, receipt, and distribute specimens (may require standing for long periods)

Lift and carry eskies as part of specimen handling

Coordinating and delivering specimens to relevant laboratory departments

Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Preparing and processing specimens prior to analysis, including centrifuging and aliquoting

Roster Details:

Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm or 4:30 pm – 12:00 am

Department operates Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 12:00 am, Saturday 8:30 am – 11:00 pm, Sunday 10:00 am – 8:00 pm

Participation in Saturday and public holiday rosters is expected
