ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to join our Northam Residential Rehabilitation Centre.
Reporting to the Residential Rehabilitation Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating the day-to-day operations and therapeutic programs within the residential community. You'll work closely with clients, families, clinicians, and the wider support team to create a safe, structured, and empowering recovery environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating structured daily programs and activities for residents using a holistic recovery model.
Supporting the development and implementation of individual care and case plans.
Liaising with residents to support transition back into the community (appointments, training, job preparations).
Assisting with logistics for events, outreach programs, and graduation ceremonies.
Providing regular reports and updates to the Residential Manager and executive team.
Supporting clients through consistent boundaries, supervision, and positive reinforcement.
Delivering operational and admin support to ensure smooth program delivery.
Facilitating family engagement and community integration initiatives.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
You’re someone who thrives in a team setting, but can also take initiative and work independently. You’re empathetic, organised, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
1. Background & Experience:
Qualifications and/or practical experience in AOD recovery, mental health, or the community services sector.
Understanding of trauma-informed, person-centred approach.
Experience with working across diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
2. Skills & Attributes:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - engage effectively with clients, families, and team members.
Strong computer literacy.
Empathetic, non-judgemental, and passionate about supporting recovery.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Respect for confidentiality.
3. Other Requirements:
Current Driver’s Licence (Essential).
First Aid or Senior First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
National Police Clearance.
Undergo Fresh Start’s Pre-Employment Checks (Reference Check & Medical).
Alignment with Fresh Start’s Christian values and programs.
