Clarity Partners is partnering with a well-established mining company known for its commitment to responsible operations and quality resource development. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team and manage end-to-end AP processes in a busy, supportive environment.

Role Overview

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable cycle—from invoice receipt to final payment—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls. Your proficiency with SAP, along with experience in high-volume environments (preferably in mining or similar industries), will be invaluable to maintaining seamless AP operations and supporting strategic financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage high volumes of invoices—matching with purchase orders, securing approvals, and executing weekly or month-end payment runs.
• Handle EFT and BPAY payment processing accurately and efficiently.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve variances or discrepancies.
• Set up and manage bank payments; maintain AP inbox; promptly address supplier queries via phone and email.
• Ensure robust filing and documentation of all Accounts Payable records.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance AP processes, support internal/external reporting, and uphold financial compliance.
  

Who You Are

Essential:

• You have around 2–3 years’ experience in full-cycle Accounts Payable, ideally in mining, construction, resources, or another high-volume environment.
• You’re confident using SAP and can navigate it with ease.
• You know your way around AFT and BPAY payment processes.
• You’re detail-oriented, organised, and accurate in your work.
• You can work independently and adapt quickly when priorities shift (an immediate start would be a bonus).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with other ERP or accounting systems such as Xero, MYOB, or Pronto.
• Familiarity with vendor reconciliations, payment batch oversight, or AP automation.
• Experience working in safe, large-scale operational environments.
