Gateway Electrical is an established Industrial Electrical business; based in Northgate, Brisbane.
Our team specialise in industrial installations we specialise in Hazardous Area & Instrumentation works in a number of sectors such as Water treatment, Defence, Agriculture, Aviation & ULP, Black oil (Bitumen), & Asphalt. Completing turn key electrical installations which include:
Construction of switchrooms, containerised process plants & large switchboards in our facility at Northgate.
Hazardous area electrical works, including projects, service & maintenance.
In house automation & design of complex electrical systems for all sectors. Specialising in water treatment.

About the role:
Gateway Electrical is expanding from QLD to WA and has already gained solid traction with finding our existing QLD client base are after a similar reliable service in WA to support divisions they hold in the area.
We are after a dedicated Electrician who is looking to go that next step, in creating a future within the industrial industry and provide our clients with the support they require. You will be required to initially work by yourself for your self, with support from the QLD team.
Ideal candidate either has current WA electrical contracting license or is looking to advance to become a license holder.
As a candidate, if this these certificates are present on your resume, this Is preferred. These include:
WA electrical license and contractors*
Certificate III & IV in Hazardous area installations.
HV switching
Cert III & IV in Instrumentation.
Key Requirements:
Good computer skills/ Utilise Aro Flo, complete day to day updating to management and closing out of works, including able to update SWMS as required for the task at hand.
Follow preventative maintenance structures and able to have good communication skills with clientele base
Passionate about growth.
Good communication skills.
Skills and experience- must have’s:
- Be minimum cert III Electrical fitter mechanic- trade qualified Electrician with minimum 4 years' experience running a team or small group, generally in the industrial field is preferred and ideally in an environment where thinking for yourself is a given.
- Own tools required.
Skills & experience- Stand out applicants:
Applicants returning from mines, must be looking to return as this is not a role for 6-12 months.
WA electrical licence and have an industrial / manufacturing background encompassing preventative maintenance and repair works on process equipment.
EEHA Cert III with 4-5 years' experience in the field.
Experience and a good understanding of PLC and control systems.
Design of electrical schematics, instrumentation and data.
An application from a candidate with qualifications / high risk work licences including working EWP >11mtrs

The business operates 5 days per week with some Saturdays & after hours work required. Hours are dependant on location & can be adapted to ensure all parties gain benefit, normal working hours 7am to 3.30pm (flexible) Mon to Thur and 7am to 1.30pm on Friday. (Flexible)
