About the role..
Based in Cairns, this wonderful opportunity is for people who are passionate about community support, who enjoy guiding and developing others, and who have a genuine interest to partner with, and learn from experienced and inspiring colleagues and senior leaders.
It is responsible for the leadership and development of a small team that delivers multiple NDIS funded programs in the areas Individualised Support and group (predominantly capacity-building).
Reporting to the Regional Manager and working alongside other Team Leaders, your day-to-day role will include:- ensuring the effective delivery of quality services; development of your team providing mentoring and supervision to expand their knowledge and careers; and support the strategic development of your portfolio through strong customer service and some business development.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of Core and capacity building services, ensuring high-quality, client-focused support
Strengthening relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders to deliver outstanding customer service.
Supporting the strategic development of services, including service growth and business development.
About You...
This career opportunity is ideally suited to candidates who have had leadership experience in an NDIS program (Eg Support Coordination or Individualised Support) at a minimum, and looking to expand their knowledge and expertise across multiple programs. Your leadership foundations are solid in the areas of staff development and customer service, and you are a knowledgeable go-to person in the NDIS space.
Candidates in a 2ic position or who have had the opportunity to act in a leadership role previously are encouraged to apply. To ensure your resume is successful in application, please highlight any leadership experience that has prepared you to lead a team and/or manage NDIS programs.
The salary package on offer for the position ranges from $73-$77.5K + 11.5% Super + up to $18,550 Salary Packaging Benefits + Royal Rewards. Any certificates or qualifications relevant to this sector or equivalent experience, will attract a base salary towards the higher end.
Essential Criteria:
Strong knowledge of person-centered care and best practices in supported living.
A background in team development, supervision, and staff mentoring.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Criminal record check (essential or willing to obtain)
Working with children’s check (essential or willing to obtain)
NDIS Workers screening clearance (essential or willing to obtain)
