As part of this transformation, we’re seeking a talented Online Learning Environment Designer to help shape the future of education across a diverse range of programs at The College, including Academic Pathways, Vocational Training, and English Language Programs.
As a key member of the Online Learning Environment team, you will:
- Design and maintain engaging digital learning content within Learning Management Systems and associated technologies, ensuring a seamless experience for students and staff.
- Play a central role in system optimisation, quality assurance, and the rollout of new technologies, staying ahead of emerging trends in educational technology.
- Develop multimedia-rich learning materials, integrating innovative, technology-enabled tools that enhance accessibility and engagement.
- Support a broad portfolio of programs, including Academic Pathway Programs, Vocational Training, and English Language Programs.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within established frameworks to ensure learning environments are technically robust and aligned with our design principles and academic standards.

About you
You are:
- a creative and technically adept digital learning designer, with a strong foundation in adult learning principles and a passion for crafting engaging online experiences.
- experienced and qualified, holding a relevant tertiary qualification and extensive hands-on expertise with tools such as Articulate 360, H5P, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office to develop interactive learning objects that meet high technical and pedagogical standards.
- proficient across platforms, with demonstrated capability in managing Learning Management Systems like Blackboard and Canvas, and content platforms including SharePoint.
- a collaborative self-starter, who thrives both independently and in team environments, bringing sharp attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
- an effective communicator, with well-developed interpersonal, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills that support successful engagement across diverse audiences.
The location
This position will be based at The College’s Parramatta City (1PSQ), although travel to other campuses may be required. This position is not available in a fully remote format.
Remuneration package: Professional Staff Level 6 $104,055 p.a. (comprising Salary of $91,536 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading) in accordance with the College Enterprise Agreement.
