Le Cake is a growing premium quality Bakery Patisserie wholesale supplier of cakes, desserts, and gourmet savoury foods to south East Queensland's best Cafe's, Clubs, Restaurants, Hotels and Caterers. We pride ourselves on hand made fresh products of premium quality and consistency and our undying devotion to remaining true to the art.

The candidates will have experience relevant to our operation, this role involves daily supervision, production and hands on execution of our range of products including individual desserts, slices and cakes, pastries, pies etc.

We are seeking the following position:-

Sous Pastry Chef

Ideally you will have at least 2 years' hands on post qualification experience working as a Pastry Chef/Patissiere/Baker. Your pastry skills will be utilised throughout the various sections within our pastry kitchen, such as our baking, pastry, savoury, and decorating rooms.

Our ideal candidate will have:-

formal Pasty Chef qualifications

sound knowledge of the baking and foodservice industry

enthusiasm, creativity and a passion for the trade

team leader and team player.

leadership qualities and excellent communication skills

focus on quality and attention to detail

well organised, strong time management skills and even tempered

lead by example and promote a positive workplace culture

strong work ethic and flexible attitude to the allocation of tasks

ability to work well under pressure

strong attention to detail

strong literacy and numeric skills

high level of personal hygiene

ability to perform duties in a physical environment

ability to adhere to workplace rules, policies and procedures

ability to adhere to Workplace Health and Safety regulations

an understanding of HACCP food safety system
