MacKillop Farm Management Group (MFMG) is offering a 12-month paid internship designed to provide you with invaluable experience across both grains and livestock systems in the renowned Limestone Coast region.
MacKillop Farm Management Group (MFMG), the farming systems group based in the medium and high rainfall zone of the Limestone Coast of South Australia (SA) has extensive experience in delivering agricultural research, development and extension throughout the Limestone Coast of SA and beyond.

As an Intern, You Will:
Gain practical experience in:
Grains and livestock research and development
Drought resilience and preparedness
Pasture research and development
Applied field agronomy research: planning, managing, measuring and analysing field experiments
Develop a strong professional network of:
Leading growers and producers
Industry researchers
Regional advisors
Work closely with the SARDI Agronomy team at Naracoorte
Build your skills in:
Project planning and management
Research communication and farmer engagement
Understand the operational role of a dynamic farming systems group
What We’re Looking For:
Completed studies in Agricultural Science (or about to) or equivalent in the past five years
Passion for agricultural research and a drive to make a difference in farming communities
High levels of written and verbal communication, able to write project plans, accurate reports and documents that meet audience needs and contain the necessary information to achieve their purpose and articulate verbally to stakeholders
Ability to adapt, manage time effectively, and prioritise work
Current Australian work rights and driver’s licence
Willingness to live and work in Naracoorte, based at the SARDI office
