CPC Services (NQ) Pty Ltd trading as Coral Expeditions is Australia’s pioneering cruise line. We specialise in a unique style of immersive adventures by small expedition ship. With humble beginnings hosting cruises on the Great Barrier Reef, the company has grown into a borderless fleet of three ships carrying between 72 and 120 guests. For four decades, Coral Expeditions has operated with a single purpose – to take small groups of likeminded explorers to remote places with expert guidance and warm Australian hospitality. We offer a wide range of domestic and international destinations. Coral Expeditions is wholly owned by the NRMA and joins a connected family of companies including NRMA Parks and Resorts, NRMA Roadside Assist, NRMA Marine and Ferries as well as SIXT Car Rentals.

The Role
Our Chefs manage the Galley in an efficient and effective manner, ensuring the timely delivery of quality meals to guests and crew as per the menu plan.

What you will bring to us

• At least 3 years experience within a commercial kitchen.
• Understanding of food cost and portion control.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• High level of customer service and a passion for food.
• Experience in day to day running of a kitchen/galley.
• Maintain product quality, presentation, food safety and consistency.
• Demonstrated safe working practices mindset.
• Tolerance of others to work and live in a small environment for long periods of time.

• Shipboard rosters are generally 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off. This will vary with international itineraries.

Qualifications Required

• Certificate Cert III in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
• First Aid & CPR.
• Passport.

Qualifications willing to obtain with us

• AMSA endorsed Certificate of Safety Training (CoST).
• Crowd Control & Crisis Management.
• AMSA Medical.
• AMSA endorsed Marine Cook Certificate.
• Australian Seafarers book or other country equivalent discharge book.
