ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work as a member of a committed team of childcare professionals in providing quality care for children attending Wodonga TAFE’s childcare centre Kids on Campus.
The incumbent is required to assist the room leaders in the planning and caring of children within the centre, whilst providing an environment which meets the developmental requirements, educational needs, and interest of all the children within each assigned group. The position operates under the direct supervision of the Centre Director.
Selected Duties:
Assist in the implementation of relevant programs focused on the individual needs of each child withing the group.
Assist in education and care for children aged between 0 – 6 years.
Assist in the organisation and implementation of appropriate meal, snack, rest, and toileting routines.
Set up quality learning experiences for children.

The incumbent will be expected to undertake and successfully complete the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care during the period of the traineeship.
Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (including current CPR training) or willingness to obtain
Current accredited Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificate or willingness to undertake training within a defined period of time.
