Position : Call centre Operator
Location: Logan
Government Role
Pay Rate: $39/hr + super
Assignment: Temporary, Full-time, 38hrs/week until Oct 2025 with possibility of extension
Maxima is seeking various Customer Service Officer for a position with our government client.
This is a call centre-based role within a professional government environment, providing first-point-of-contact service to our community across phone, digital and face-to-face channels.
Key Details:
- Government background highly regarded – prior local/state/federal experience an advantage
- Minimum 2 years contact centre or customer service experience essential
- No planned leave in first 12 weeks to allow for comprehensive training
- Subsidised corporate uniforms provided
- Supportive and professional team environment
What you’ll be doing:
- Handling inbound customer enquiries and transactions via phone, email, social media, and other channels
- Providing accurate and timely information using Client’s systems and knowledge base
- Processing payments and service requests in line with client’s policies
- Managing escalated enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Supporting departments with a positive, solutions-focused approach
- Contributing to process improvements and knowledge base updates
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a contact centre or high-volume customer service environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage challenging conversations
- Confident computer skills – data entry, database navigation, spreadsheets, and online research
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions within set guidelines
- A customer-first mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Relevant qualifications such as Certificate III/IV in Customer Contact (highly regarded)
