Provide strategic analysis and advice to drive policy outcomes
We're building our analytical capacity and seeking professionals with experience in financial and data analysis, financial and non-financial performance reporting and/or in developing government policy. In your new role as a Principal Treasury Analyst, you will help shape impactful policy advice and work on emerging issues across agencies. Join a team at the heart of Queensland's decision-making and financial sustainability. Roles are available across a number of levels and policy areas.
In this role, you will:
• Analyse agencies' financial and non-financial performance and identify emerging risks
• Delivery high-quality briefings and presentations
• Engage directly with agency clients and government stakeholders
• Support the Executive Director to lead the team to deliver outcomes in a complex and time-sensitive environment
• Provide advice that influences budget, economic and performance outcomes
• Support strategy, submissions and oral briefings for senior leaders
• Represent Treasury in interdepartmental groups
What experience you will bring:
• Experience in analysing and interpreting financial and non-financial performance information and data and/or in developing government policy
• Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
• Clear and persuasive communication across diverse audiences
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-impact role
• Effective judgement, communication and understanding of different perspectives in developing solutions and working with others.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
