Our opportunity:
Are you passionate about supporting parents with young children? Join Cafs, a values-driven organisation as our Infant/Early Childhood Practitioner. This role sits within our Early Childhood Team. As the Infant/Early Childhood Practitioner, you will provide consultation, conduct PASDS assessments, develop care plans, and deliver case work and case management services. You will also facilitate case reviews and evaluate outcomes for families with complex and high-risk needs, supporting infants (0?2 years), toddlers, and pre-school-aged children up to 5 years old. You will also undertake interventions with families including individual sessions with the parent or carer and the infant / toddler / pre-schooler, whilst promoting positive and protective parent ? child relationships.
About you:
We are looking for a motivated, values-driven individual whom has passion working with Families and Children within the Community Services, Trauma-informed and or Childhood Development related disciplines. The ideal candidate will thrive when working autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team.
Skills & Attributes:
- Tertiary Qualifications (Diploma and above) in Social Work, Welfare Studies, Early Childhood, Psychology or related discipline.
- Relevant experience in working with vulnerable families and infants in an educative, therapeutic and outcome focused manner, both within the home and/or community. Ability to provide flexible and responsive interventions that are inclusive of therapeutic, educative, and outcome focused models to families with infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to develop, support and deliver Family Actions Plans and Reports for Child Protection.
