Salesperson & Customer Service Representative
Are you passionate about helping people and genuinely enjoy speaking with clients? Do you have a keen interest in cybercrime prevention and investigation? We are a leading private cyber investigation and intelligence firm, seeking a motivated Sales & Customer Service Representative to join our team.
About Us
We specialise in investigating scams, online fraud, cyberstalking, social media harassment, and pretty much anything else bad that can happen online. Our global clients rely on us to uncover the truth and provide actionable intelligence.
Your Role
This role sits at the frontline of our operations, working closely with potential clients and existing customers to provide exceptional service and guide them through the investigative process. You will:
Respond to incoming enquiries via email, phone, and web chat (no outbound sales or cold calling!)
Listen to our client’s situations to properly understand their requirements.
Explain our services clearly and empathetically to potential victims of scams, fraud and social media harassment.
Maintain accurate CRM records and follow up with prospective clients.
Work with investigators to ensure smooth client onboarding and case handover.
Support people with excellent customer service and empathy, even when the individual is not going to become an active client.
You may be required to conduct other tasks from time to time, such as administrative duties, or small tasks to assist operations and sales.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in sales, customer service, or client support
Someone who GENUINELY wants to deal with people. The role requires spending most of the workday speaking with people over the phone, listening to their story and discussing our solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A calm, professional, and empathetic manner when dealing with sensitive situations and often people who are distressed.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Confident using CRM platforms, emailing systems and have sufficient typing/data entry skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Serious Requirements
Be able to connect with people quickly. Let’s face it, building rapport is a significant part of what a salesperson does.
Be able to work with minimal management oversight. You’ll have plenty of support and training, but we need someone strong and capable of handling their own enquiries.
Be reliable and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Understand that in our industry, confidentiality for our team and clients is very important.
Be curious and ready to learn a lot. Every single day is different and in our industry we’re never short of interesting situations and problems that need solving.
Some Things you Should Know
We don’t push sales. We provide people with support, and genuine, honest advice. Providing our knowledge to individuals comes before making a sale. This is our approach to the market and what sets us apart from other companies. We are genuinely here to help people, and we aim to educate and support above all else.
You need to have a good sense of humour. We’re an established company, but a young team, and ensuring the workday is fun is a company focus.
We don’t expect the right candidate to have any existing investigations knowledge. We are going to be investing a significant amount of training into the right person. Therefore, we are seeking only candidates who are committed to a long-term role at our Byron Bay location.
What We Offer
Base rate of approximately $32.00 per hour + performance-based commissions & superannuation. You will earn a commission on every sale you’re involved in, and the percentage of commission will increase as you become proficient in the role.
The role is offered on a casual hourly rate; however we are looking for someone who can work a 9am to 5pm, 5 days per week.
Full training in our company’s services and products.
Opportunity to grow with an innovative and globally respected brand.
Meaningful work that helps real victims of cybercrime.
An enjoyable and collaborative work environment.
The role is a casual position with commissions paid on top of your base rate. We are looking for someone available 9am to 5pm, 5 days per week. You will be required to work with our team in our Byron Bay office. Remote working is not an option.
So, if you’re a human, that likes dealing with other humans and the above sounds interesting enough that you’d like to learn more, please submit your application with an accompanying Cover Letter.
