Role Overview
We’re looking for a motivated and personable Retail Representative / Merchandiser to help grow our brand in the ethnic and independent grocery channel. This role combines merchandising, store relationship management, and sales support — ideal for someone wanting to grow their FMCG career in a fast-paced, culturally rich business.

Key Responsibilities

Service a consistent run of ethnic and independent grocery retailers across your territory

Merchandise Village Dairy products — ensure shelves and fridges are fully stocked, clean, and correctly priced

Build and maintain strong relationships with store owners/managers

Support in-store initiatives including new product launches, promotions, and price changes

Generate sales leads and identify new customer opportunities

Provide weekly updates to the Head of Sales

Capture competitor activity, customer feedback, and execution issues

Collaborate with sales team to identify commercial opportunities and improve store coverage

Requirements

Ambitious, well-presented, and passionate about food, culture, and community engagement

Looking for flexible part-time work or to kick-start an FMCG career

Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (essential) — fuel card provided

Physically capable of lifting stock, rotating products, and setting up displays

Based in or near Dandenong South, VIC, with knowledge of local independent retailers

Confident with smartphones for photos, notes, and communication

Proactive, organised, and results-driven

Preferred Skills & Experience

FMCG, merchandising, or grocery retail experience (independent/ethnic channel preferred)

Strong communication skills, especially in culturally diverse settings

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Fluent in English; Hindi, Punjabi, or other South Asian languages beneficial

Basic technology skills for reporting and photo documentation
