Your new role

We're seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Advisor to join our fast growing project team in Northern QLD. This role is critical in ensuring operations meet the highest standards of health, safety, environment, and quality across electrical and civil projects in the mining industry.
As the in-house HSEQ expert, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting and signing off Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments
• Leading safety initiatives and compliance across electrical and civil works
• Supporting project teams with HSEQ guidance and training
• Driving continuous improvement in safety culture and performance

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent)
• Recognised qualifications in HSEQ and VOC sign-off authority
• Proven experience in HSEQ roles within mining, electrical, and civil construction
• Strong understanding of mining safety legislation, risk management, and incident investigation
• Ability to conduct internal audits and develop safety systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in reporting tools and safety management systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
