About the role

Firstform Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Formworker/Carpenter to join our team on a Full Time Basis in Brisbane, QLD. This is a hands-on role that will be responsible for constructing and installing custom formwork for concrete foundations and structures. With 2 years of client projects in the pipeline we are looking for long term employees who meet our cultural fit.

What you'll be doing

1. Fabricating and installing formwork for concrete foundations and structures according to project specifications

2. Carrying out finish carpentry tasks such as framing, cabinetry and cladding.

3. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with building codes and safety regulations

4. Collaborating with the site supervisor and other tradespeople to coordinate construction activities

5. Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition

6. Adhering to all health and safety procedures on site

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Formworker/Carpenter, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the construction industry

2. Strong knowledge of carpentry principles, building codes, and construction techniques

3. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings

4. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools

5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

6. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

7. Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment
