The Opportunity
This is more than a review-and-sign-off role, you’ll be the driving force behind a team of four SMSF accountants, ensuring both technical excellence and client satisfaction. Your portfolio will oversee a large number of SMSF Funds, ranging from straightforward to highly complex structures. Day-to-day, you’ll:

• Mentor and develop your team’s technical and client skills
• Oversee and quality-check financial statements and tax returns
• Build strong client relationships, resolving queries with confidence and clarity
• Interpret and apply SMSF legislation to provide tailored solutions
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth, compliant audits

What You Bring

• CA qualification and a track record in SMSF work within well established Australian Accounting Firms.
• Deep technical knowledge of SMSF rules and regulations
• Confidence with tech Excel essential, CLASS experience a plus
• Clear communication skills and a knack for managing competing deadlines
• A leadership style that’s collaborative but decisive
