About the role

Skye Dental is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Dental Assistant or Dental Receptionist to join our growing practice. This is a full-time role based in Capalaba, Queensland, supporting our dedicated dental team and delivering exceptional patient experiences.

What you'll be doing

Managing front-of-house reception duties, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and handling enquiries

Maintaining accurate patient records and updating electronic dental software

Assisting with administrative tasks such as processing payments, managing inventory, and filing

Providing exceptional customer service to ensure patients have a positive experience

Collaborating with the dental team to ensure the smooth running of the practice

Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing equipment, instruments, and materials

Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment

Providing chairside assistance to dentists, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow

Greeting and welcoming patients, and ensuring a positive patient experience

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records

Performing general administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing inventory

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a dental or healthcare setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team

Excellent organisation and time management skills with attention to detail

Proficiency in using dental practice management software (exact experience is highly advantageous) and Microsoft Office suite

A friendly, professional, and empathetic demeanour when interacting with patients

Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably in a similar clinical setting

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately

Comfortable working as part of a team, as well as independently

Excellent time management and multitasking skills
