Dental Receptionist/ Personal Assistant to Principal Dental Surgeon

Pacific Biological Dentistry is a holistic, patient-focused practice on the Sunshine Coast. We are currently seeking a warm, organised, and tech-savvy Dental Receptionist to be able to start as soon as possible. who will also serve as a Personal Assistant to our Principal Dental Surgeon, Dr. Lilian Kluge.

You will be the friendly face at the front desk and the administrative support behind the scenes — helping ensure everything runs smoothly so Dr. Kluge can focus on delivering exceptional patient care. You’ll work closely with our existing dental assistant who supports all clinical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and support patients with professionalism and empathy

Manage appointment bookings, recalls, and treatment follow-ups

Upload clinical notes, x-rays, referrals, and patient documentation into dental software

Monitor and respond to practice emails and assist with correspondence on behalf of Dr. Kluge

Handle social media scheduling and basic marketing under ADA compliance

Manage managing payments

Maintain confidentiality and uphold all privacy and compliance standards

Ensure reception and admin areas are tidy, safe, and well-stocked

Order and receive dental supplies, supporting the clinical assistant with inventory needs

Assist Dr. Kluge with general admin and personal assistant tasks that contribute to patient experience and practice efficiency

About You:

Previous experience in administration roles, preferrable if you have experience in the health field

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Confident using dental software, Microsoft Office, email platforms, and/or social media tools

Well-organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently

Friendly, calm under pressure, and committed to delivering high standards of care

Understanding of dental terminology and infection control (training can be provided)

A team player who enjoys supporting both practitioners and patients
