About the Role

As Retail Store Assistant Manager, you will be a key part of our front-of-house team, ensuring the store runs smoothly while delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will assist customers in selecting the right gear for their needs, oversee stock presentation, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment in our Sydney store.

Work roster Tuesday – Friday (7am-3pm) and Saturday (8.30am-1pm).

Key responsibilities:

Providing product advice and technical guidance to retail customers

Sharing technical knowledge on Rope Access, Rescue, and Height Safety gear

Processing sales and in-store inquiries

Assisting phone and online enquiries

Placing purchase orders with suppliers

Receiving, organising, and restocking incoming inventory

Picking and packing online and phone orders

Assist with retail displays, restocking showroom and stock takes

Maintaining a clean, safe, and customer-friendly store environment

Receive incoming deliveries for other departments

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

Have retail experience with a passion for customer service

Knowledge or experience in Rope Access, Rescue, or Working at Heights

Have strong communication skills and a proactive, positive approach

Are organised, detail-oriented, and take pride in a well-presented store

Are reliable and enjoy working as part of a small, supportive team

Strong computer skills and comfortable interacting on social media

Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.

Bonus points for:

Experience in technical retail environments or safety equipment sales

Familiarity with inventory or POS systems

Familiarity with stock takes and stock counts

A background in Rock Climbing, IRATA/SPRAT Rope Access, Working at Heights, firefighting, SES, or similar fields (highly desirable)

A forklift license (not essential – training provided for the right candidate)
