About the Role
The Client Services Officer reports to the Client Services Coordinator and works under general direction, applying well-established procedures to manage the Centre’s reception and inter-related administrative function. They are, most times, the first face of the Centre for clients, and responsible for ensuring clients receive a smooth, warm and responsive welcome. They respond to all initial external enquiries and assume responsibility for critical administrative work to support client service delivery.
The role cultivates effective internal and external relationships, acting as a critical conduit between requests for assistance and the Centre’s legal practice. They work closely with the Client Services Team to ensure cohesive support to clients, responsible for administrative and business processes that support integrated practice.
Assume responsibility for reception and administrative functions in alignment with the Centre’s policies and practice model.
Engage with staff across the Centre to maximise outcomes in line with the integrated and multidisciplinary service model.
Work in close collaboration with the rest of the client services team, undertaking administrative processes related to new clients and intake.
Manage and plan the administration of the Centre’s pro bono clinics, in collaboration with various stakeholders and teams.
Positively participate and proactively engage in regular supervision and yearly performance reviews, identifying and building on areas of strength and development.
Skills and Qualifications required
Hold or be eligible for Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT)
The Centre highly values lived experience of intersectionality and welcomes applications from First Nations women, women from migrant and refugee backgrounds, women of colour and women with other relevant lived experience.
