Job Overview:
International Corrosion Services (ICS) is a Stainless-Steel Corrosion Treatment (pickling passivation and electropolishing) business established in 2009 with office and workshop located in Forrestdale, WA.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Account Manager (“SAM”) to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, growing sales and assisting with high customer satisfaction.
The SAM will do this by:
· building deep relationships with customers,
· identifying growth opportunities with existing clients and
· bring new clients or re-establishing old relationships that may have been lost.
This role requires a blend of selling skills, strategic thinking, relationship building, and energy for achieving and growing sales targets.
The position is based at the office in Forrestdale and reports to the Business Development Manager. The SAM will collaborate with the broader ICS team to ensure the broader team are aligned with the delivery of high customer service.
The role requires time on the road visiting and building the customers base. Most of the customers are fabricators providing services to their customers in the energy, mining, water treatment and general industrial business sectors mostly in Western Australia.
The Sales Account Manager will manage and oversee all aspects of sales, marketing, and sales targets for ICS.
Experience in the energy, mining, general industrial sectors or fabrication is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
In consultation with the BDM & GM, develop and implement marketing strategies to achieve and grow sales targets s
Develop marketing strategies to have our services and products scoped into project specifications with the ultimate client or their project engineer.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and potential growth projects we should be targeting as possible clients (some projects have long gestation periods).
Client Acquisition, Relationship Management
Systematically implement the marketing strategies developed.
Identify and establish relationships with potential clients and partners, fabricators for heavy industry.
a) Be able to use Linkedin to establish relationships and create leads
Maintain and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and loyalty.
Working with the BDM, act as a point of contact for high-value clients and key stakeholders.
Ensure you are achieving ICS sales targets.
Revenue Growth:
Drive the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, with a focus on the energy and resources sectors.
Develop quotations and work with the GM to ensure that pricing delivers good profit for both businesses.
Meet or exceed revenue targets and business development goals (see Performance Agreement for sales targets and commission structure).
Win big jobs - use the GM and Directors to help you win big jobs.
Lead client/sales contract negotiations and know how to write these contracts up with support of GM and Directors.
Business Promotion and Social Media
Work with internal external personnel (Business Development Manager) on website or social media development.
Support Linkedin presence and regular posts.
Make sure we are on top ranked on google and key word searches and other similar metrics.
Make sure we are recognised as the number one brand in Australia for our speciality lines: Stainless Steel Treatment.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Work with GM, Ops Manager, Business Development Manager and all staff to deliver the best quality outcome for our company and clients.
Collaborate with Operations personnel to keep information flowing in and out of the workshop – you work for us not the clients (no blame).
Provide insights and feedback to the leadership team to refine strategies and improve offerings.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to refine strategies.
Prepare and present regular monthly and annual reports on ICS Sales outcomes.
Keep detailed and accurate records of all client meetings in our data base.
Qualifications and Experience:
Track record delivering strong sales outcomes.
Able to professionally present to large and small clients in a professional way.
Extensive sales experience (10+ years) ideally with industrial customers (eg fabrication, mining, energy).
Exceptional negotiation, sales (deal closing) and communication skills.
Able to write clear, concise and profitable big and small sales quotes and proposals.
Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Team player.
Able to take responsibility for good outcomes and areas for improvement.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of market trends in industrial activity in Western Australia.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.
Proficient in both written and spoken English.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Prior experience in a work environment emphasising safety and standard compliance.
