Intermediate Accountant – Business Services

Brisbane | Full-time | $90k–$100k + Super

The Opportunity
This role offers the ideal balance of technical accounting work and meaningful client interaction. You’ll be trusted to prepare high-quality financial statements and returns while also contributing to strategic tax planning and business advisory services. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of industries and entity types, ensuring every day is professionally challenging and rewarding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements, BAS, IAS, and FBT returns for individuals, companies, and trusts
• Assist in tax planning and advisory engagements for SMEs and family groups
• Liaise directly with clients to gather information and provide clear guidance
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with compliance requirements
• Stay current with accounting standards and taxation legislation

About You:

• Degree qualified in Accounting (or nearing completion)
• 3+ years’ experience in business services or public practice accounting
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy
• A proactive, professional approach to client service
