Stonefish Careers are pleased to partner with HS Plus Accountants & Advisory to find a driven Intermediate Accountant ready to take ownership of a client portfolio and deliver high-quality tax, accounting and business advisory services.

What you’ll be doing:

Preparing tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals

Preparing financial statements (monthly, interim, and year-end) and reviewing client-prepared accounts

Completing BAS, IAS, cashflows, and fixed asset registers

Liaising with the ATO and other authorities on behalf of clients

Providing accurate, timely advice to clients and supporting them with their accounting systems (MYOB, Xero, Excel)

Managing client relationships and conducting meetings as needed

Researching technical taxation topics and drafting correspondence or advice

Maintaining current knowledge of taxation, corporate, and compliance legislation

Supporting the Directors and Managers to improve workflow, efficiencies, and systemisation across the practice

What we’re looking for:

Degree-qualified in accounting or a related field

1–3 years of public practice experience in Australia (or equivalent)

Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with a professional, client-focused approach

Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work to deadlines

A proactive, positive, and team-oriented mindset

Familiarity with Xero and MYOB (preferred)
